"Dave Pecci and I studied the possibilities of adding several solar collectors to my home to supply domestic hot water in March 2007. After some study we decided on 2 – 4 x 8 – flat panel collectors, with an 80gal collector hot water tank and the necessary heat exchanger and pump system. Dave studied whether to adjust the angle of the collectors for best attitude towards the sun and it was decided with my ESE facing roof and laying flat on the roof, it was satisfactory. Dave did the installation efficiently and neatly. The panels were mounted on a section of the roof where we had direct access thru the interior of the house to the basement. The installation took about 4 days, with Dave requiring additional labor only with getting the panels to the roof. The system works very well even in low light conditions. In  spring thru fall the incoming temps will approach 150degrees which will produce approx 80gals of 120degree water in an 8 hour cycle. "Attempting to lower my oil use in late 2008 led me to Dave Pecci Carpentry. Dave had installed two Solar Thermal water heating systems in our neighborhood and was highly recommended. Dave analyzed my home site and made his recommendations. I accepted them and he soon began the work. The work was a professional job from beginning to end: excellent craftsmanship, clean and timely completion. That was in late October. Today, it is still winter, some ice and snow are still on the Solar panel and the outside temperature is below freezing. However, the water temperature in the Solar Water Heating system is currently 80 degrees which is about 30 degrees above the ambient temperature in my well.
